If you are thinking joining affiliate marketing, here are some questions you have answer first,
1. Are you an initiator and be able to follow through what you have started? When you are in affiliate marketing, you are responsible for the development of the business and that include hard works, sacrifice of your time, capital investment, mistakes and other boring stuffs.
2. Do you make good decision? When you are a business owner, every decision you make impact your business. Looking at the pass decisions you have made, did you benefit from them? What is more important is that can you make the right decision when you are under stress? Because it is common that you will be put under stress when you are in this business.
3. Do you have what it takes to run your own business? Now, building your own business is unlike going to a job where you get annual leave and work 8 hours a day. You are stuck with your business 24/7. You only get to enjoy the free and easy lifestyle when your affiliate marketing business is drawing significant amount of income for you. As long as it didn't bring in the money, you will have to work for it (unless you give it up of course).
4. Are you passionate with what you do? Now, being in business is not just about the money. Think about this, there must be certain lack of passion with your job that pushes you to look for opportunity in affiliate marketing. If that is the case, look at how you treat your current job. You will face the same problem if you are just eyeing on the green stuff and lack the passion in all the necessary works that are require to build your business.
5. Do you hungry for success? This goes hand in hand with your passion and if you aren't hungry about success, it will shake the foundation of your determination to building a successful affiliate marketing business. You will procrastinate, look for excuses and try your best to NOT work for your business.
6. Are you willing to learn? Please don't tell me you are over your learning years and you don't want to be a school boy anymore. Do you know that there are a lot of retirees who start to learn to use PC, website building and internet when they started their online venture? Besides, when you are building your business, there is no stopping in the learning curve. The day you stop learning is the day you stop you business (if that is what you want).
7. Do you plan? Let me tell you this. If you want to be successful in affiliate marketing or anything else in life, you got to start planning what you do. Give you step by step blue print. If you want to skip this and run your business spontaneously, you probably will see a lot of problems coming your way.
8. Can you juggle between your business and your personal life? You probably join affiliate marketing because you want to build a better financial future for your family. I understand you want that desperately and you are ready for the coming challenges. But can you back down for a while and look at your family? Starting your affiliate marketing business doesn't give you the reason to ignore your family. They too need your time and attention.
And how can you forget about your own well being? Putting yourself in constant business stress is going to burn you out. You are like an overstretch rubber. You are going to snap one day and no one will know what will happen then.
Besides, it is not the quantity of your work that determines how much you make with affiliate marketing, it is the quality.
