10 Affiliate Marketing Tips For You - Part 1

I understand that affiliate marketing is a challenging business and you need all the help you can get to start making money with it. When you really start to promote your business, you will start to see all the necessary work that is needed to build a successful business and that is why I have combined 10 tips affiliate marketing tips for you here. I have separated the tips into 2 posts so that it is easier for you to digest.

1. No

This probably is the most important tip.

Despite of what you have read, you are going to see a lot of people who will say no to your offer. You might perceive that your affiliate product is the best in the world and countless reviews probably say the same but there will still be people who refuse to buy from you.

And regardless of what you do, your prospects can still reject your proposal. Whether you believe it or not, there will still be prospects that won't download your product even you offer it as free (although a lot of people will download it, you still can't get 100% prospects to download the free product).

So, you see, it is not entirely your problem when people say no to your affiliate product. As long as you have done all you can and you believe that you have given 120% in promoting your product, that's it. Don't bad mouth about your prospects, don't pound your head on the wall and don't be upset with affiliate marketing.

What you need to do now is to pull yourself together and move on and focus on other prospects. Someone out there will appreciate your product and you just need to find him or her.

2. Plan

I can't stress enough of this. If you have been following my blog, you will notice that highlight a lot about planning when you join affiliate marketing. I understand as a newbie in the business, there will be flaw in your plan. Still, that isn't the reason you start your affiliate marketing business without a plan.

And it is because you have flaws in your plan that you have to start making one. You need to perfect your business and marketing plan as you go along with the business.

Let's be real here. Do you believe that the successful affiliate marketers out there make money with the business without a plan? One of the reasons they make so much with the business is because they are different from you. They started their business with a plan.

Besides, you will be more motivated to build your business when you have a plan to guide you where you need to go. Think about this, will you be more successful in this business with clear written out steps or running around in this business without specific aim?

3. Find a mentor

The reason is need to look for a mentor is because he or she has been with the business and they know affiliate marketing just like the back of their hand. Your mentor is going to show you the direct and simple way to make money with affiliate marketing. This can then save a lot of your effort, time and certainly money when you are building your business.

Now, I understand as a new affiliate marketer, you are eager to try anything that you think can help you to make money with the business. I was the same when I started the business. But speaking from my experience, you are better off to ask your mentor before you do anything with your idea.

Your mentor is going to analyze the idea with you and be honest with you whether your idea is workable or not. Remember this, you are like a small boat in a dark roaring sea when you just join affiliate marketing. Your mentor is like the lighthouse who will point you to the right path in this total darkness. You need one.

4. Be realistic

I believe your mentor told you that you need to be patience before you can start reaping money from affiliate marketing. And your mentor is right. You need to give time to your affiliate marketing business. It is not that you can't enjoy automated income, it is just that you need time to build it.

Rome was not build in one day, you know.

5. It really needs time

As mention above, you need time to grow your affiliate marketing business. There are cases where affiliate marketers who spend 3-5 years before they start to make money with affiliate marketing. Imagine the patience and frustration they have to go through yet they stay loyal with the business.

They believe in themselves. Now, the question is,

"Do you believe in yourself?"

I have seen affiliate marketers who throw in the towel when they fail to see money coming to them. While it is alright to give up on affiliate marketing when you have done all you can but before you give up on the business, have you try your best? Sometime, you can start to make money with the business when you change your approach to it.

Do that first before you pack your bag. I have faith in you.
