A Dangerous Maneuver

If you ask me, I will be honest with you and tell you that making money with affiliate marketing is getting more and more competitive nowadays. When you look back to a few years ago, people nowadays are more aware about their spending habit. They think more than twice before investing into something and because of this, your competitors are more aggressive in getting the business from you.

You can still make money with affiliate marketing because your prospects trusted you initially. However, when they try your product and found that it is not up to their standard, they are going to ask for refund. When that happens, the merchants have to make the refund (because you don't own the product) and in the end you still didn't make any money.

You can certainly do that but I can see that you won't go far with affiliate marketing. Because when you exploit the money back guarantee and ignore your customers request, you are actually ending your online career.

Your customers are going to talk about you. In a bad way of course. They are going to expose your "ethic" of running a business. By that time, you will probably see your name rank high in the search engine with all the bad heading you can ever imagine. This can completely destroy your reputation.

So, you see, there is a price to pay when you choose an easy way out. It is very important you know where to draw the line so that you are clear of the core value of your business and what you can or can not do.

1. Be aggressive

I am not asking you to attack other affiliate marketers for you to make money with affiliate marketing. What I am asking you to do is to look into your marketing strategy and ask yourself honestly:

"Are you doing enough to build your affiliate marketing business?"

Just to let you know, successful affiliate marketers possibly work more than 8 hours a day 7 days a week when they started the business. They only get to relax when their business is well on track and that hardly happens in just a month or two.

2. Follow up

Have you ever deal with an insurance agent or any direct sales agent? Do you remember how persistence they are in following up with you? They never take no as an answer. It seems that they are muted to that word.

Some of you think that they are annoying and I certainly am not asking you to run your business like them. What I am asking you is to do is to build an opt-in list and get your prospects sign in to it. Then, you can talk to them and find out what they need in order to invest into your affiliate product.

3. Protection

In case you didn't know, there are a lot of hackers roaming on the internet. They are highly skilled and you will never suspect anything when thing is too late.

Luckily, there are also a lot of good people in this world trying to help us protect our affiliate commission. Since you are in this business, I will advice you to get a software to help secure your commission. Surely you want to keep your hard earn money instead of leaking it into other's pocket. Right?

By the way, I also advice you back up all the things you have done for your affiliate marketing business including all your log in name, password and member list. This is to protect you from any PC or server crash. Besides, portable hard disc nowadays are getting more affordable.

As how I look at the current internet marketing industry, having a website is a must when you want to make money with internet marketing. However with all the competition you are facing, having a website is no longer enough to drive the cash to your pocket. So, below are some key ingredients that you need when you are building a profitable website.

I bet you have heard before that content is the king and personally, I need to agree with that. Your visitors look for you because you are able to supply the information they need and search engines nowadays rank your website base on your content too. So, the better content you have, the higher the chances people get to see you.
