Before You Start Marketing

At some point, your affiliate marketing success, is NOT about how you market your product. It is how your CUSTOMERS buy your product. So, when you want to be successful in this business, you got to take into consideration about your customers.

1. Customer

If you want to make money with affiliate marketing, the very first thing you need to look seriously in to is this,

=> What Is It For Them (WIIFT)

Yeah. What is it for them? What do they get from buying from you? There are a lot of affiliate marketers selling the same thing. Why don they have to get it from you? Is it because you are the first one who contacted them? I don't think so.

If you want to know what is important to your customers, put yourself into your customer's shoe. Imagine you are given the offer. Think about the reasons why you DON'T want to take the offer?

2. Price

And one of the reasons that pop to your mind might be the price of your product. Can your customers afford the price?

It is very important that you find a way to let your customers see that the quality of the product is well worth the price. You have to tell them that the product can solve their problems. And you, as the affiliate marketer are willing to back the offer with your personal guarantee that the product works (this is very important because you need the customers to repeat their sales with you).

3. Communication

So, how are you going to tell your customer about the uniqueness of your product?

If you are promoting your affiliate marketing business with blog, you can start a poll on your blog. Once you got the result, you will know what your customers are most concern about. So, see that you align your marketing effort to what your customers need.

If you are promoting your affiliate marketing business with your own list, you can send an email to your customers and find out what they want. If they comment that they need more bonuses besides what the vendor offer, see that you create something that can satisfy their need.

With all the things being said, you need to understand that there will be people who still refuse to buy from you anyway. I don't have the answer to that. I think they have their reasons to and I have to respect that. So, don't be upset when some people don't buy from you.

Continue with what you are doing and your effort will be rewarded very soon. :-)
