Resilient & Courage

I was inspired by Alicia Keys, the global ambassador for keep a child alive, when she said on American Idol that she was amazed with the resilient and courage of the children in the program.
Resilient and courage. To me personally, they don't just apply to the kids, it also applies to you and me, to making money online and it definitely applies to building your affiliate marketing business.

Resilient

Now, here comes the hard part. You need to be tough to create the result and show it to those who don't believe in you and refuse to believe in the possibility of making money online.

When you started marketing online, it is common that you don't earn money at the initial stage. In fact, you will have to sacrifice time and take out money to build your online business. In fact, you will start to see the numbers in your bank getting smaller and smaller. And then you will start to ask yourself whether you have made the right choice.

Let me tell you this,

"Never for a moment falter to the urge of giving up. Never."

This is just a phase. Many successful affiliate marketers gone through the same phase. Once you live through it, you will become the same as them. Making as much money as you want and living the most luxurious life you can imagine. :-)

Courage

Whenever you announce that you are joining affiliate marketing, there will be people who reject the idea and some might even say that you are out of your mind to give up a steady income and go after something so vague and unheard of.

Actually, affiliate marketing is not vague and unheard of. It has been here for quite sometime. It is a legitimate business and it has helped numerous people to earn a luxurious living and change how some companies run their business.

So, when someone asks you to reconsider your decision about joining affiliate marketing, make sure you have the courage to defend your decision. You will want to explain to them the potential of affiliate marketing and how it can change your future. Also, please be preparing to walk away from the discussion when it is turning into an argument. If they refuse to understand your feeling, it is only fair that you withdraw from the fight.

And do you know where do you need the courage the most?

You will need it when you fail to get money for your affiliate marketing business. You MUST have the courage to face the people when they say,

"I told you so."

You are going to feel so hurtful that part of you will agree that affiliate marketing really sucks. But when you take a deep breath and be frank to yourself, is it?

Now, you need to have the courage to admit that you did something wrong and you have not gone full force to build your affiliate marketing business. That might sound offensive but you must have to have the courage to accept the possibility in that.
